During the school year, over 100 students from School District 145 participate  in our extra-curricular theater program to produce high quality plays and musicals that reach an audience of over 2,000 people each year.

We are members of the Educational Theater Association and the International Thespian Society (Troupe #6186). We also have an active student-run Drama Club organization.

Each year, we produce a musical, a straight play and variety show, as well as compete in state and national ITS Festivals as well as district and conference one-act competitions. Additionally, we feature a student-directed musical performed by WMS students every spring.
 
It is our philosophy that the study and practice of theater not only enhances our students’ ability to perform, but also develops their work ethic, empathy, passion and appreciation of beauty.

We strive in to instill in all of our students a love of theatre and to encourage them to be lifelong patrons of the arts.
